The 15th Century shipyards are in pretty good shape. These buldings were built to repair and build gallions, huge ships with oars, by the Venetians. The British locked 400 rifles in one of these buildings, during the Battle of Crete, and refused to give them to the Cretians to defend the island from the German invasion. PHOTO: Peter Duke
